This qualification is aimed at those who wish to gain a full Bachelor’s degree, possibly upgrading from another previous achievement, e.g. Foundation degree.
It will particularly suit those with a professional experience in the maritime world or an academic interest in the subject.
Delivered via distance learning, the BSc (Hons) programme will provide opportunities to enhance your career within the marine or maritime industry.
Studying the BSc (Hons), you will learn about the theories, principle and models relevant to the modern maritime industry in the 21st Century, equipping you with a broad understanding of the challenges and current affairs. You will develop skills in gathering, analysing, evaluating, and interpreting data in Sustainable Maritime Operations.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this programme you will need one of the following:
A Higher National Diploma / Foundation Degree (HND/FdSc) in a relevant subject
A few years industry work experience.
And
GCSE English Grade C or above, or international equivalent.
It may be necessary for you to undertake our short Sustainable Maritime Operations Access Course (SMO101) in order to meet the entry requirements for this programme. More information regarding this course.

Your MLA College Student Experience Officers, Estelle Widger and Laura Allen, are the first point of contact for enrolled students who are in need of pastoral support, including requests under the Extenuating Circumstances policy for matters related to their academic studies.
