Student Recruitment Officer Goes the Extra Mile for Bursary Scheme

Student Recruitment Officer Goes the Extra Mile for Bursary Scheme.

Jana Klbikova, MLA College’s Student Recruitment Officer, ran a whopping 26.2 miles earlier this month and to celebrate we have a number of partially funded places to award to new students enrolling onto Sustainability degree programmes.

On Sunday 2nd October Jana completed the London Marathon in 4:28:20, after months of vigorous training.

Starting in Greenwich, Jana ran through Surrey Quays and Bermondsey before crossing Tower Bridge at the halfway point.  The second half saw her head east through Wapping and past Limehouse before heading into Canary Wharf.

For the final leg of the marathon, Jana passed by the Tower of London and along The Embankment before crossing the finish line at The Mall.

Basak Akdemir, CEO of MLA College, welcomed Jana across the finish line and announced the Sporting Achievement Bursary Scheme.

Following Jana’s amazing achievement, MLA College will be funding three bursary’s and three scholarships to new students enrolling onto either the BSc (Hons) Global Sustainable Development or MSc Sustainability in Practice programmes this January.

Each bursary or scholarship will be worth 26.2% of a fee reduction of their tuition fees for the programme.
