As part of its ongoing mission to make higher education accessible, MLA College is proud to announce the launch of its #PlasticFreeJuly Scholarship for 2025.
The scholarship is designed to support students who are passionate about sustainability and eager to make a difference in their industries and communities. It will offer one full tuition-fee scholarship and three additional scholarships covering 50% of tuition fees, open to applicants across all of MLA College’s sustainability-focused undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
MLA College’s sustainability programmes highlight critical thinking and practical problem-solving, encouraging students to explore complex environmental challenges from multiple perspectives. With an emphasis on academic excellence and real-world relevance, these programmes are designed to inspire meaningful understanding and long-term impact.
“Education is the foundation of sustainable progress. At MLA College, we are proud to support individuals who are ready to lead change—not just in their careers, but in the world. The #PlasticFreeJuly Scholarship reflects our commitment to making that opportunity accessible to more people, at a time when the planet needs it most.” — Professor Mohammad Dastbaz, Principal and CEO of MLA College
The announcement coincides with Plastic Free July, a global movement that encourages individuals, businesses, and institutions to reduce their use of single-use plastics and adopt more sustainable habits. What began as a local initiative in Australia has grown into a worldwide campaign, engaging millions of people in over 190 countries. By launching the scholarship during this globally recognised month of action, MLA College hopes to highlight the transformative role education plays in creating a more sustainable future.
