MLA College has launched its new MSc Project Management, with applications now open for the September 2026 intake.
The launch follows MLA College’s recent announcement of its relationship with The Open University and marks an important development in the College’s expanding postgraduate portfolio.
MLA College is approved by The Open University as an appropriate organisation to offer higher education programmes leading to Open University validated awards.
The new MSc Project Management has been developed for professionals looking to build the skills needed to manage increasingly complex projects and progress into strategic project leadership roles, while continuing to balance study with their careers.
The MSc covers six key areas: strategic project management; project leadership, people and organisation; agile and digital project management; sustainable project management; project risk and resilience; and data-driven project management.
Together, these areas reflect the changing demands placed on project professionals, from leading people and managing risk to navigating digital transformation, using data effectively and considering sustainability throughout project delivery.

Designed for working professionals
Delivered through MLA College’s flexible distance learning model, the MSc Project Management enables students to continue working while completing their degree and apply their learning within real-world professional contexts.
Students can complete the MSc full-time or part-time, making the programme suitable for professionals balancing postgraduate study with work and personal commitments.
The programme is designed for professionals across a range of sectors, including business and management, engineering, sustainability and other project-led environments. It can support those looking to move into project management as well as existing project professionals seeking to strengthen their capabilities and progress towards more strategic or senior roles.
Students will also have the opportunity to complete either an Academic Dissertation or an Applied Industry Project, providing a choice between independent academic research and applying their learning to a real-world business challenge.

The programme has been developed and will be delivered by MLA College. It has been validated through a process of external peer review by The Open University as being of an appropriate standard and quality to lead to The Open University validated award of MSc Project Management.
