Thursday 25th April marked the IMarEST’s annual dinner for 2024.
Held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in London, this event brought together members and guests for an evening of socialising and networking to celebrate the maritime industry. It provided attendees with a unique opportunity to meet fellow marine professionals, host clients and make new contacts.
The evening concluded with a speech by Mark Williams, the comedic actor and screenwriter, whose projects include The Fast Show, Father Brown and the Harry Potter films. With a personal interest in maritime history, guests were treated to a speech, which brought together marine engineering and his trademark humour and insight.
Prof. John Chudley (Rector), Prof. Basak Akdemir (Chief Executive), Gurcan Gur (MLA College graduate), and Prof. Malek Pourzanjani (Head of Naval Education), were in attendance at this event.
