MLA College has pledged to achieve The Disabled Student Commitment, reinforcing its dedication to accessibility, equity, and inclusion for all learners.
The DSC (Disabled Student Commitment) is a sector‑wide pledge to improve the experience of disabled students in further and higher education. It asks institutions to work in partnership with disabled students to identify barriers, take action and embed inclusive practice across the student journey. Grounded in holistic, flexible, inclusive and intersectional principles, the DSC invites signatories to publish an action plan developed with disabled students and to review progress annually; since its launch in April 2023, it has gained strong recognition across the sector.
MLA College is focusing on creating accessible information for applicants and current students, putting support plans in place before studies begin where required, reviewing learning materials against WCAG and UDL principles, ensuring all resources are accessible to all. “By committing to the Disabled Student Commitment, MLA is making sure all students feel supported and valued.
