
Ufuoma is a sustainability and environment professional with expertise in environmental governance, interdisciplinary research methods and sustainable development. An Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA), Registered Environment Practitioner (REnvP), and member of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (PISEP). She brings a unique combination of academic rigour and practical experience to MLA College, where she serves as Associate Tutor for the Global Sustainable Development (MSc) since October 2025.
With an MSc in Environmental Management from Coventry University and a BA in Development Studies from the University of the Gambia, Ufuoma brings extensive research experience spanning sustainability consciousness, environmental behaviour, and policy implementation. Her research has produced evidence-based policy recommendations addressing critical implementation gaps in environmental governance, while establishing a novel stakeholder categorisation system with global implications for environmental policy analysis. This work has generated practical frameworks that bridge individual behavioural theory with systemic change approaches.
Her professional background includes roles as Research Associate, Research Administrator, Research Assistant, Lecturer at University of Suffolk, Sustainability Manager and Environment and Sustainability Personnel in her home county of Nigeria, and Lecturer in Management and Sustainability at Health Sciences University, where she has led environmental assessments, research, teaching, developed ESG and CSR policies, and delivered and designed sustainability-focused curricula.
