
Dr Sammar Javed is a senior lecturer in Business and Management. Her 12 years’ experience in UK Higher Education mainly within business schools completing interdisciplinary projects, exceeding the target levels despite challenges. She started her research career from a Pakistani think tank contributing to the research of women participation in education, economy and society. Sammar’s research and academic career had made successful trails through male dominant environments of Pakistan to white male supremacy of UK academia. Sammar have served for ERDF funded projects related to Industry 5.0 and the key success was her knowledge transfer project with a male dominant manufacturing firm in west Yorkshire. The project focused on process innovation utilizing SCRUM brought funding and savings of over £1.8M exceeding the defined 5-year targets. Along this KTP project of worth £132,000, Sammar has achieved successful bids of £216,504.64 including Future Fashion Factory £56,000, Digital Enterprise top 100, Digital Voucher, LEP, RTC north, Winning Pitch, DIT, Manufacturing Growth Program, Supply Chain Funding etc. Sammar has vast experience of professional and academic research. Her research interests are: operations, change, innovation, knowledge, culture, leadership and diversity management.
