
Chris is an Associate Tutor at MLA College, with background in maritime logistics, shipping, and supply chain management. He holds a BSc in Maritime Business and Logistics and a PhD in International Logistics, Supply Chain and Shipping Management from Plymouth University.
From 2020, Chris was part of the delivery team at Plymouth University, contributing to a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in shipping, maritime economics, international trade, and strategic maritime management. He also supervised dissertations, providing long-term one-to-one support for undergraduate and master’s research projects. He has achieved FHEA status and is committed to inclusive and supportive teaching practice.
His research interests include emergency and crisis response, with a particular focus on the movement of goods to and within disaster-affected regions. He is a member of the Strategic Sustainable Management research group at Plymouth University.
Chris also has practical experience in logistics and applied maritime innovation. He previously worked as a logistician for a Serbian humanitarian NGO and has contributed to collaborative projects linking academia and industry, including involvement in the development of the Thames Freeport Connectivity Lab – an initiative focused on accelerating the adoption of AI, 5G, and smart infrastructure in ports and logistics.
