
Afua is a built-environment and sustainability professional with expertise in climate resilience and applied sustainability practice. She developed her professional foundation as an architect before progressing into higher education, where she is now undertaking a PhD in Sustainable Development and the Environment.
Her academic and professional background spans architectural practice, sustainability research, and higher education teaching. As a Research Assistant, her work contributes to interdisciplinary approaches to sustainability, with experience across blue-green infrastructure, wetland agriculture, climate-change adaptation, and environmental behaviours.
She joined MLA College as an Associate Tutor for the MSc Global Sustainable Development programme in January 2026. In her role, she supports student learning through seminars, assessment, and academic mentoring, helping learners develop strong analytical skills and applied sustainability practice.
